Are you building a LADDER House or a MADDER House? Let's take a look:
Love /// "“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’" (Matthew 22:37-39). We love God and we love our selves and we love others. Every time we display love, no matter how small the act may seem, we remove fear from the environment and usher in the freedom to choose self-control. Anger that partners with desire to override another's free will demonstrates our need for manipulation and control, and from that place is birthed two very ugly sins, "For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing," (James 3:16). Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy and it does not boast. Love says, "I will love you no matter what. I will be here to help you. I am not afraid of you or your mistakes, and I'm certainly not offended by what wrong you may say or do against me. I am not defined by your mistakes or successes, and I'm not defined by my own failures or accomplishments. God loved me, and gave Himself up for me on the cross so that I could be in a covenant love relationship with Him. He is who I was created for. I am found and established in His love for me. You cannot uproot this foundation, and I am pleased to say that you are a gift to me."
